JYC happens every year, usually during the first full week of June. In 2025 the dates will be June 1-6.

Junior Camp is for kids aged 7-12. Campers must be between those ages on the first day of camp.

JYC takes place at the Mississippi District United Pentecostal Church Campground. The Campgrounds are located at 10332 Hwy 18 W, Raymond, MS 39154

Early check-in starts at 5PM on Sunday at the Tabernacle. Sunday events will largely be informal, as regular check-in starts at 10AM on Monday. Camp check-out will officially start at 9AM on Friday morning, but many choose to check-out early after the Friday night service.

Please see our recommended packing list in the Forms section of the menu above. It can be found as a drop down underneath the Junior Youth Camp heading in the menu.

All JYC Staff applications are strictly reviewed for approval, and adult applicants submit to a mandatory 3rd party background check for the safety of our campers.

For the safety of our campers, the only adults allowed to stay on campus during camp are approved staff that have completed a mandatory background check. If non-staff adults would like to visit during services, you must register each time at the camp office. Parents and other visitors that are staying at the Campground RV park or residential areas, or at a local hotel for the week may by approved on a case-by-case basis to register for a week-long visitor pass. Adults and their non-camper children will not be allowed to take part in any camp activities except the evening services.

No, the only kids that are allowed to stay in the dorms are campers. Children of approved adult visitors may accompany adults when they are visiting campus, but are not allowed to attend any camp events. Staff members are encouraged to find other arrangements for the care of their non-camper children during camp time since their schedules will be filled with duties.

Please contact the Mississippi District UPCI main office at 601.857.5532 for information about renting an RV location. Please note adult RV residents are still held to visitation rules as mentioned above, and campers staying in RVs need to register as Day Campers and check in every day.

Yes, 3 meals a day will be provided Monday-Thursday for campers and staff. Additionally, there will be a concession stand open throughout the camp. Campers may want to bring some spending cash if they'd like to purchase snacks or drinks.

Other Tips

  • Although we are blessed with air conditioned facilities and a wonderful covered outdoor pavilion, there will still be plenty of sun exposure. Make sure to pack sunscreen and make sure your camper knows to drink plenty of fluids!
  • This is a Kid-Friendly Camp, so kids are encouraged to dress casually for the entire week. Please see full guidelines for appropriate attire in the forms section under the Junior Youth Camp menu link above.
  • Make sure to check out the information about Super Hero Club under the Save Our Children menu above. Campers who raise $400 for SOC become members of the Super Hero Club and earn special perks during Junior Camp!
